Flowers white with hint of pale cream inside. Plant quite compact with long narrow tapering leaves. A single flower in leaf axis. The stem has several linear un-dissected leaves(assisted by Andrew Hankey) to identify as Ipomoea simplex and not I. bolusiana. Growing in grassveld but on slightly gravelly patches.
Has vigorous trailing stems with broad wavy leaves covered in hairs. Deep pinky coloured funnel-shaped flowers. Often a few flower heads together. Growing in vast sections in open grassland. Flowering from beginning December.
