Description:

Having breakfast in Charite cottage at 9:15 am, saw a flock of small angry birds diving at something on the ridge across the river. Realised it was an animal flitting through the restio tussocks; for a few seconds it stepped out into the open and we saw all of it, spots and stripey tail ... but of course had no camera ready. It disappeared down the river in thick bush, pursued by the angry birds ... later we crossed the river and snapped the rather nice tracks it left behind.

Description:

Right next to the boardwalk. I know pretty much nothing about droppings, but I'm guessing it isn't a domestic dog cause it contained hair and bone fragments...
One longer piece and two separate rounder segments.

I've heard rumors that there used to be a leopard living in the bush by the Ski-Boat Club. Could it be??

Description:

i think our adrenalin levels were at our highest at this sighting. but instead of charging us, the five lions in riverbed made their way briskely to the reeds, the mother and her two cubs leading the way, and the male and his mate bringing up the rear. That lioness was either pregnant (unlikely, seeing as the pair were mating at one poiint) or had eaten heavily.
