Achatinidae - Cochlitoma?

Description:

Shell probably 4-5cm long - smaller than the local Achatina, MUCH smaller than Burtoa; more slender than either. This one seemed to have suffered a break to its shell in recent history, as the last whorl seemed a little off-axis, but had healed quite solidly. Emerged relatively late; some time after the first rain and several days after the first Achatina seen; these used to be the most numerous later in the rains, but we'll have to see if that's still the case.

Description:

Large, white; distinguished from the various other, smaller, Achatinid snails in the area by its blunted shape, and massive white foot, folded along midline of foot when disturbed and only very rarely withdrawn into shell; suspected juveniles often largely pale brown in shell and flesh, also blunted, unlike the 'Achatina' type snails of the area which tend to fold their bodies top-bottom when withdrawing.

Specimens here on fallen Jackfruit and site of old bonfire.

Description:

Medium-large. Had assumed the bulk of these brown-fleshed snails at this site were Achatina, as size and form more-or-less continuously variable (as opposed to the blunter-shelled, white-bodied giants suspected of being Burtoa); suspect that this is not actually the case, regretting not having more photographs of the variation.

Any help?

Additional note - tortoises eat them. Which isn't saying much, because my experience of Bell's (Speke's) Hinged Tortoise was that they ate anything that moved, and some things that didn't, but they really go to town on these snails.
