Description:

Dead swift. It was interesting to note some features on the animal that one can only see close up. I was particularly struck by the width of the mouth in this bird.

Messy communal nests high-up against huge highway bridge. Abandoned for the winter and appear to have been 'inspected' presumably by Harrier-hawks? Lots of external grass seems to militate against swallows or martins?
