Please do not post duplicate IDs - use comments to make comments: Click on ID to agree to the first correct Latin name.
Comments added to ID notes are not searchable: copied here for reference:
Has a variety of common names including Mango stem-borer, Tropical Fig borer, Red-spotted longhorn beetle. Feeds on a wide variety of host plants including Mango, Fig, Guava, Avocado, Jackfruit, Mulberry.
This was not intended as a duplicate ID, but rather as a refinement of the ID. Including the common name in the identification table improves the search capacity within this field.
Not really: putting it in the comments would make it much more searchable. But in iSpot it is an alternative ID, and therefore will not be detected in the "Likely ID" searches (and looking for names in unlikely IDs is not very wise!).
iSpot etiquette is to agree to the first correct Latin name so iSpot will regard this as a "less likely ID." What iSpot does with IDs is to count the votes to determine the most likely ID. So posting duplicate IDs messes up the system (or more accurately, is a waste of your very valuable votes).
