Description:

At the time I wondered if it might be a worn Twin-spot Carpet, its about the right size, similar size to Flame Carpet, a smaller than average 'carpet' moth. Might be hard to be definitive on this one?

Hi Cathal,

The pectinate antennae narrow it down considerably. I think it's Twin-spot Carpet as you suggested. If you view the image at reduced size the markings are more apparent and with the exception of the twin spots, everything looks right.

Thanks for this Donald, I

Thanks for this Donald, I just wantd to see if anyone would agree with the suggested species OR would come back with something I hadnt considered or seen before. Looking good for a TSC at this stage, thanks again.

Cathal.
