Can anyone identify the leaf-roller which caused this damage in a wild cherry (Prunus), please? Possibly a tortrix moth??

Hello thistle, all cherry types can suffer a disease which causes the leaves to curl, this isnt caused by any insect. Im not sure this applies to your specimen. Leaf curl disease is sometimes called witches broom. Hope this helps.
It could be that but this was an isolated curled leaf and there was no sign of abnormal "Witches Brooms". I'll leave the ID open at the moment and have another look at the tree and its neighbours next year.
