i found this perch could of

i found this perch could of weighed just shy of around 2lb, head was chewed off next to the side of the lake.
was this a sign of Otters in the area?

Perhaps change the category to Fish - I know you want the predator, but that way those users who are likely to know more will see it.

Just wondering .... why would the otter eat the head and leave that succulent body??

because Otters are renowned for taking large fish from waters and only eating the head as it is the most nutrisious, this is usually the case when otters are in a 'killing frensie'
