Also known as common wall gecko. see comment for links. I've no idea what the red dots are & in the many images of this sp in eol/google images/flickr have only found the occasional single dot(or rarely 2)

Red dots

The red dots are mites. Apparently it is a species particular to geckos. They are pretty common in my experience, and you often see them between the toes where it's hard for the gecko to bite them off.
