Fungus for ID, please
Description:

Found this fungus when I opened up part of a rotting tree-stump. A thin, soft crust. White at the edges and going pink n the centre. I've not been able to find an ID: can anyone help, please?

Any idea of what the tree

Any idea of what the tree was? This is probably a Resupinate or Crust fungus. I find them difficult to ID as very variable depending on age.
My thought is it could be Cylindrobasidium laeve according to Collins this is widespread and very common.

The more I know the more I realise I don't know
