A feather moss (or maybe two)

Observed: 12th September 2013 By: Steve_VSteve_V’s reputation in PlantsSteve_V’s reputation in Plants
Kindbergia praelonga copy
Description:

A feather moss growing in moist deep shade on sandy soil. The one I'm interested in is the horizontal stem in the bottom left-hand corner, with the bronzy stem. I also wonder if the moss in the top part of the pics is something else.

I suspect it's all Hypnum

I suspect it's all Hypnum cupressiforme. None of it looks delicate enough for Kindbergia

Bryophyte tag

With respect to the good folk that are/might have helped you in the likely ID of this moss, I am requesting that you add the tag Bryophyte as this will act as a further aid by virtue of attracting more of those who specialise in mosses and liverworts. Thanks in advance,
