Dogwood

I think I need my clock resetting!
A month ago I could tell a dogwood from and elder, but now....!
I did have an uneasy feeling that the berries didn't look quite right, not dangly enough, whatever the technical term is!
Thanks :-)

interestingly elder bushes

interestingly elder bushes are, according to Cotswold folklore, evil witches that where turned into bushes as punishment for misuse of witchcraft. as such many people will not cut down elder trees and will always doff their caps to them. the flowers of the plant make a good tea or cordial if prepared properly and the French make a wine from the berries though, by all accounts, its not that good.
