Description:

Observed in a South Wales urban garden. I think it might be a Platycheirus, but not sure of the species.
Small, less than 1cm, yellow black abdominal markings, black shiny thorax.
Any help appreciated.

I would place this in the

I would place this in the scutatus group. My instincts go to P. scutatus itself based on one photo that seems to show the frons heavily dusted.
