Gorse in Scotland

Tall shrubs(2-3 m)with yellow pea flowers and nasty spikes.Young plants have trifoliate leaves,but in older plants these reduced to spines which are responsible for photosynthesis.Burns easily and produces a very hot flame

Nothing can compare to the

Nothing can compare to the smell of Gorse blossom on a warm, sunny day....just like coconut and vanilla mixed.

Enjoyed the sight but missed the smell

I presume that the weather was not ideal (cool and mostly cloudy).Also my sense of smell is not what it should be.
