Observed: 13th October 2013 By: scarpermacscarpermac’s reputation in Fungi and Lichensscarpermac’s reputation in Fungi and Lichens

Very new to Fungi ID and it is complex!!

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

Looks like too bigger pores

Looks like too bigger pores for Ganoderma species. Did you try to bruise pores? Thinking it might be Blushing Bracket Daedaleopsis confragosa. Usually on willow but also other deuciduous dead trees. Pores stain 'wine red' on bruising

The more I know the more I realise I don't know

Pores, staining

..aah interesting. No I didn't but if I get the chance I may venture back to it to try that out, if I can get back while it's still in reasonable condition. Thanks.
