It's a nice little reserve, isn't it? I have dropped in occasionally looking for flies. I must have been there arond the same time as you...did you get a lot of curious bullocks following you around?!
My Flickr photos...
It's a lovely reserve. We go there often, mainly for me to take photos of bees and butterflies, but also to do odd surveys for Plantlife, Bumblebee conservation etc. ispot is ideal for confirming ID! The bullocks are very nosey, but have never been troublesome, even when we've had the dog with us ( though we are much more cautious then). The first field, opposite Church Farm is a great place for a snooze on a warm day when the grass is high.........
I'll watch out for you next time I am there sweeping the grass in that area...wouldn't want to wake you up!
Edit: Just checked my records and I was there on the same morning...found some decent flies, like Sphaerophoria interrupta and some nice little Teuchophorus.
