Description:

The first photos show the moth on the wall of the house. It looked at first as if highly dotted with white marks, but these turned out, mostly, to be raindrops! I could not work out which moth it was, but finally opened another book and realised the very hairy legs, feathered antennae and black head end identified it as The Vapourer. See also the photo I took earlier of another one, which shows why I hesitated at first!
