Description:

The buffalo don't seem to mind. Though not visible in the picture, the magpies were pecking at the animals' backs.

That's What it Felt Like!

Sorry Trudy, they were quite a way off - I was using a 500mm lens, and this was the best I could get. I suppose they were 100m away, something like that. So I've no idea what they were interested in. The buffalo didn't seem to mind them at all though.

I think they would be pecking

I think they would be pecking off parasites so the buffalo would approve. I have seen them do this with ponies.
