Description:

Medium-sized larvae, 10mm+ long, clamped to the underside of sunflower leaves amongst black aphids. Prickly, spotted, no obvious head until observed feeding on aphids, which appeared to be sucked dry. Beige with dark and pale markings. Numerous. Photo shows rear ends.
