Stout mushroom, streaked purple cap, yellowish gills and flesh, pale spore-print.
Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!
Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.
No interactions present.
Very hard genus to identify to species level without microscopy and chemical tests.
Doesn't look like a Russula to me. It has intermediate gills, a purple tint to the stipe, and a slightly scaly cap cuticle. I'd put that down as a Cortinarius. Did you make a spore print?
It's definitely NOT Plums & Custard!
It does have all the key features for plums and custard I have found some as dark as this before.
