Would need confirmation

Looks good for Steatoda grossa, but it would need confirmation under a microscope to be sure. Do you identify spiders? If not, and you would like to have it confirmed, you can send it to me. If you'd like to do that, let me know. It's a good record if it is Steatoda grossa.

Thanks for the reply. I do

Thanks for the reply. I do love spiders but I don't identify them. Just thought it looked unusual. It's still in there somewhere, not seen it since.

Tis not alone my inky cloak, good mother

I don't see how this could be anything other than s.grossa. The pattern is A1 classic for that species.

Would bet a limb on it ;)
