Rust for ID, please
Rust for ID, please
Description:

I understand that grasses are commonly one of the co-hosts of rusts so I'm not sure if it is possible to identify the rust from this photo. If it's not identifiable, what further information would I need to reach an ID?
Edit: 2nd photo added.

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

fungus id

It might be an idea to post the grass on to the "plants" site (don't put a link with an unknown in you'll get your wrists slapped!).

It might be Yorkshire Fog in which case the rust might be Puccinia coronata or P. recondita

From http://wiki.bugwood.org/Holcus_lanatus ...

... Lists of fungi that infect velvet grass in Britain are compiled in Beddows (1961). when citation given it is
