wide deep collar

The yellow collar at front thorax reaches the tegulae (ie wing attachment) and on the sides dips well below the tegulae. This is said to be characteristic of Bombus magnus - a bumble found in Scotland. Anyone have any thoughts?

I agree this has magnus-like coloration. However, the phenotypic boundaries in the lucorum group don't marry up with the genotypic boundaries. Best to record this a B.lucorum sl and comment that it has magnus-type markings
