Droppings of 0057 Lagopus muta (Montin, 1776) (Ptarmigan) - Cairnwell, South Aberdeenshire (VC 92), 6th October 2013
Description:

Remarkably well camouflaged even when you see then close.
I've also added a picture showing what I think are Ptarmigan droppings (it seemed too high up for Black Grouse). In several places there where these two types of droppings (pellets and black 'jelly') together, any idea what the biological processes are?
