Harmonia axyridis is a very variable patterned Ladybird, Ladybird website has a downloadable sheet of some of the variations around.
There seem to be a lot of Harlequins suddenly being posted. Is there a reason?
Perhaps they are starting to congregate for hibernation, they do over-winter in aggregations. They may also be feeding up on whatever is available in preparation for winter. Until yesterday there were very few around where I work, they will feed at Ivy flowers I often find them among the Cedar needle-tufts & amongst pine-needle bundles.
