Description:

Orange or reddish colour. About 15 cm diameter.

Identifications

How about a very immature Grifiola sulphurea?

It might just be my eyes but

It might just be my eyes but i think this has a hairy aspect about it which rules out Grifiola sulphurea.

I'm afraid it's the only photo I have of it. I have never seen a fungus like it before and appreciate the comments.

Lilkely id as Dyer's Mazegill

Having looked at the other observations of this fungus I am content to think that it is this species as a couple of photos look very similar.
