Great Northern has a far heavier bill than this, surely?

Bill

Looks too thin for GND to me too. There is the distinctive Black-throat style white flash on the side as well.

The pattern on the neck does look a bit close to Great Northern with something of a half collar showing.

4 agreements to 1 is not enough to outweigh the Knowledgeable badge, apparently.

It is clearly not Great Northern, so hopefully the knowledgeable agreement will reconsider!

Black-throated diver

As said the bill is far too thin and the whole bird is not bulky-looking enough to be great northern diver.
