Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!
Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.
No interactions present.
might be lactarius deliciosus but can't really say from this photo
Might also be others too as we need so much more information Habitat tree type, soil cap size texture good photo of gills showing how there attached to the stipe, milk if any and did it change colour, smell if any cut through stem and cap to show flesh colour and if stipe is full, hollow ect as these can so easily get wrongly identified .It is a shame that this happens as it would be nice if the poster got an identification but I don't think people realise how important it is.I wonder if there could be some information that comes up when people are posting fungi and I know there is on the fungi groups section but does anyone ever see or read it.
Any idea's would be great as they could be put in the forum
fenwickfield, might be good if you sent your comment in via 'contact us' or whatever the button is as there are lots of developments on ispot at the moment but they are not about issues such as you raise here, I will mention it to the team too.
