Unfortunately the main diagnostic features - leg colouration, thorax side, frons - aren't really visible on this shot. However, given the season, the more-or-less parallel sided abdomen, vague hint of a tint on the wings and the orange-red colouration, I'd say it was a Common Darter.
I've never heard the term Brown Dragonfly applied to it, though. That would seem more descriptive of the Brown Hawker.
