Welcome to iSpot.

This not actually a chipmunk it is a Golden-mantled Ground Squirrel (Spermophilus lateralis). Chipmunks all have black stripes on the face and three down the flanks unlike this animal.

These are very common in parts of the Mid-west, especially Wyoming.

If you add an identification for this I'll agree to it.
