Dragonfly. Came to my attention as it was thrashing about in the water. It reached the water plantain and climbed up ontp the leaf, where it sat drying its wings.
It was sufficiently far from the shore that this was the best photograph I could manage.
There were a fair number of other damselflies and dragonflies flying around the pond, but none settled long enough for me to take a photograph.
