new format

When logging on today I was met with a page about 'your drupal website' and noticed some changes to the 'browse observations menu so I guess you have been doing some behind the scenes updating. I also noticed that iSpot is now 'iSpot Global' is that also new or have I just not noticed it before? If new does it signal a policy of encouraging sightings from overseas as well as just UK ones? (I know there have always been a few non UK ones and I have even posted some myself but the emphasis has always been very much UK flora and fauna). I have no problem with overseas sightings (obviously with a primarily UK based audience they have a lower chance of getting successfully identified but that is OK) but am surprised that this change (if it is one seems to have slipped in with little or no fanfare (unless I missed it!).

Globalls

Welcome to your new Drupal website!
Yep, I've had all sorts today... I'm thinking we should give Admin some space. They MUST know how we feel. I think they should shut down for a few days (I might get some sleep) get it like it was a month ago and open up again.
Actually I feel sorry for the techies and REALLY hope they don't get tetchy.
Get some sleep Jonathan!

Have a look here Jonathon www.ispotnature.org/node/373611
You can turn Global off if you wish and be part of the UK only community (or Chile if that’s your thing).
