Description:

Growing on a large old tree stump in my garden, odd little fungi tightly growing together from short stems 5cm long. cap 3cm across. I cannot see any bootlace type structures anywhere near, or under what's left of the bark. I am not ruling out honey fungus, though I think its most likely not to be this fungi. Some discolouration on the stem and tips of the caps, maybe this is a clue, but I am not sure.
