This Rook was very vocal and defended his foraged food from the local gulls with some effort.

If anyone is thinking of coming to Northumberland for the birds, do not hesitate. It must rival Norfolk as one of the coastal hotspots for the variety of species.

Have you trying Stag Rocks by the Golf Course in Bamburgh..good views of Purple Sandpiper usually at this time of year...or are your pictures from there already!!
Hi Nev, yep by the golf course and the rocks towards Budle Point. I encountered Purple Sandpiper today as well and lots more. Fantastic spot.
