Description:

Having grown accustomed to the idea that Sycamore leaves mean Sycamore Aphids, I was somewhat surprised to see a clutch of small creatures like the individual that appears most prominently in the lower part of this image. It has rudimentary wings, which places it as a barkfly nymph rather than a collembolan of the Dicyrtomidae group.
