started out as in first photo and developed into the second after 6 days


Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

Can you add a photo of the gills and stem,if the stem has a ring on it also is there a stump buried nearby.

Sadly not Fenwickfield - this query was passed to me by a friend and he didn't take shots of those. He's mowed the lawn now so they have gone. I've asked him if there's a buried stump tho and will get back with that info.

No Stump

It seems this was in the middle of the lawn and no stumps or roots nearby.

might be honey fungus, in whcih case they are likely to be back so can take more pictures.
