Adult dock bug

Found hiding out with a group of dark bush crickets in brambles along the SW coast path near Swanage. Distinctive reddish-brown colour and geometric pattern.

It's worth pointing out that this is technically a squashbug, not a shieldbug - it's in the Coreidae rather than the Pentatomidae, Acanthosomatidae, Cydnidae or Scutelleridae (Pentatomodoidea). Normally it's just called the Dock Bug. :o)
