Stem broken in half

Mushroom found between the two trees shown in the photos, it did not change colour when bruised and it had a regular mushroomy smell.


Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

Sorry cannot go any further than Genus there quite a tricky genus unless your very knowledgeable on them sadly I am not and find this genus rather tricky
Sorry I cannot help but hopefully Flaxton may see this as he is very good.

might be Suillus bovinus

might be Suillus bovinus (with pine and angular tubes) but far from confident as other aspects don't look right so have not put the id in.
