Large pore fungus

Observed: 26th August 2013 By: madjanevmadjanev’s reputation in Fungi and Lichensmadjanev’s reputation in Fungi and Lichens

A very large fruiting body of a pore fungus, seen growing in woodland. The cap was over 20cm across. My lens cap (in the second photo) is 5cm in diameter.

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.
