Pea family flower

Description:

Sadly this flower was nearly over and this was the last on what was a large patch. It was low growing, had a woody stem and a rose-like leaf but the flowers are definately pea shaped. There were no obvious seed pods from the other plants however so perhaps it is not a pea?

Seeds

This has single seeds which you may find in the dried flower although they often quickly fall.
A close up of the seed surface will help to identify which melilot this is.

Seeds

Just to be fussy, it it the pods that are diagnostic, not the seeds inside them.
