Very similar markings to the Hebrew character moth (Orthosia gothica) which is strange as both are not closely related (though both are members of large Noctuidae family.
One way these could be seperated is that Orthosia gothica tend to come out spring (march/april) while Xestia c-nirum is more common August/Sept.
