BRERC Recorders Forum – Bristol M Shed, Sunday 20 October

BRERC would like to invite you to attend the BRERC Recorders Forum at M Shed, Princes Wharf, Wapping Rd, Bristol ( on Sunday 20th October 2013 from 10:30am to 4:00pm.
Bristol Regional Environmental Records Centre (BRERC) receives thousands of records per year from voluntary amateur recorders who report the wildlife they see in the West of England area. This event allows BRERC to provide feedback to all of our recorders as well as giving them a collective voice.
BRERC has been involved in collecting data from amateurs – more recently dubbed 'Citizen Science' – since the founding of the organisation in 1974.
Recording of wildlife data is currently undergoing a major revolution, with use of GPS, smartphones and online recording all offering new challenges and opportunities for collecting data. Alongside this, traditional recording methods using paper recording forms are still widely utilised.
Lunch, tea and coffee will be provided.
There is disabled access.
