Poor thing. Where did you find it?

Definitely a horseshoe. If plum-sized it is indeed a Lesser. A larger bat would be Greater. Both are possible in Bristol.

Agree with Tamasine. Lesser more common (but still not that common) but could be either horseshoe so do you have any sizes?

It was plum-sized. A colleague brought it into work as he'd found it on the road. He's going to send it to the BCT.
