Description:

Now identified positively as a Southern Green Shieldbug (Nezara viridula). Approx 6mm length
Found on a cucamelon plant in garden.

Hi Derek, thanks for posting this following our Twitter conversation! As you may know, this shieldbug is a recent addition to the British list, having first been found in London in 2003. Still mostly confined to London and nearby areas judging by the NBN map linked above.
