Interesting to see this bird up close to the tree. Over the years I have watched black-heads hawking among trees for chafer beetles. Was this the case with you?
I'm afraid not, it must be a trick of perspective, as it was quite far from the trees. Just to the right of shot my daughter was throwing bread up for them to catch, once a pattern had developed I began to take my shots.
What a great idea... which has resulted in a lovely shot. I suppose the gulls would be 'stalling' to catch the bread making for the intersting pose as well as slightly easier to capture? Moon in shot works really well too.
