... is often white-flowered. However this seems to lack the dark leaf blotches that characterise this species (but the visibly does vary from hardly noticeable to prominent). The next think to look for (touch or hand lens) is glands on the peduncle, which would confirm the plant as Persicaria lapathifolia (pale persicaria).
A hybrid is known.
Note that the black blotch on the leaves can be present or absent on both species.
