Hi Bob,

Is it definitely a Redhead? At first glance I thought it might be a blackhead- BUT I see here how dark the head on a Redhead can be. The Lobworm example here also has a very dark head compared to the reddish ones I am familiar with:

No, far from it, all I can say for definite is that it was a worm!

I'm not 100% certain Bob but

I'm not 100% certain Bob but it does look quite like a Black Headed worm, the robust firm look of it and the quite dark head. I need to look at it more but its getting late. Maybe it just wont be possible to say unless someone who really knows contributes.
