I agree with it being a kestrel, forget my revision
If you think it is a Kestrel, have a look at the tail pattern of the two species and you will see that this is a Sparrowhawk. The upperpart colour is also totally wrong for a Kestrel.

This bird is a weird colour but ophrys is right with Sparrowhawk
The colour threw me too!
The bird chased a dunnock into a window. Was stunned and died in my hand minutes later. Have attached another pic
