Hunting Sparrowhawks

Over the last 5 years or so I have had Sprawks regularly visiting my garden, as many folk have. However I feel certain that the ones I have seen I see more frequently in drizzle/gentle rain, and my observations of their success at hunting seems closely allied with this weather. Is this a common 'tactic' does it help with hunting / sneak attacks? Any ideas?

Not sure -

But certainly they are quite often seen "drying off" on a fence post or bare branch, so it's quite possible.
I'll be interested to see if others add to this.
