Large excavated hole in front garden flower border, 30cm deep, 25cm diameter, with large pile of semi-solid dark brown faeces within,uncovered.

Could be a badger latrine.

Could be a badger latrine. Any sign of hairs around??

It looks a bit deep for a usual latrine but he droppings look badger. I suspect it dug for grubs then deposited in the hole.
